QTP customer services sucks a fat Somalian wiener.. I called them about issues with my headers (leaks) and they seemed put off that I had even called, mind you this was before I even explained my issue!

Did they give ya the line along the sentiments of "You just don't understand"? Or another good one: "You need to go find a REAL shop and get them to explain to you how all this works."
And finally the pièce de résistance: "That 1/16" gap will seal up when the header gets hot and it won't leak!"

LOL

So because the OP is implying that everyone with QTP's have leaky collectors and I don't, and I point out some factual information, I'm "nutswinging." So, in your opinion, it's impossible to give factual information about a product that you own without "nutswining." Idiots like you should be banned or at the very least have your posts deleted. You contribute nothing. Why don't you have some respect for the sponsors that keep this site running so you can act like a tough guy behind a keyboard? Have some appreciation.

I know yer one satisfied QTP customer; you've barked yer horn/been in the tank for them for years. It’s the 10-20% of folks that get the bad quality parts from QTP that are left out in the cold - they don't feel as obliged towards the company as you do.
I'll bet yer gonna vote for Obama too...well you won't be able to return him either!
As for the customer service with QTP, I have dealt with them twice and both experiences have been absolutely stellar. It sucks you had a bad experience, and I have no idea what both sides of the parties involved went through, so I'm not going to take sides or anything like that. All I'm saying is that I've gone through them twice with two potential issues and both were resolved very quickly and I was never left out in the cold.

As for my voting...maybe you should check out the SSU political section for my opinions

Hmmm, when did the word alot become the word everyone? From the very first line of the thread "I was going to get a set of QTP's for my car but after a little research people seem to have alot of problems with them leaking at the collector."

"A lot" implies that the majority of people with QTP's have leaky headers. Would you like to substantiate any of that with any kind of evidence? The OP implies if you buy QTP's, you will more than likely have leaks. That's not even close to true. Out of the thousands of of people who have purchased these headers, you can count on two hands the number of threads about it. When you do high volume sales there are going to be some collectors that leak. I've read about it on every brand of headers. It doesn't mean that "a lot" of people have it or that it's going to happen to you. It mean that manufacturing processes are not perfect and when you do high volume sales, unfortunate mistakes happen.

You have to keep it all relative. If 1,000 people out there have leaky QTP collectors and they sold 40,000 sets of headers, you'll have 2.5% of people out there with leaky collectors. Is 1,000 people a lot of people? Well, not when you have sold so many. It's a relatively small number. It's all about perspective, know what I mean? A lot of people out there have had cars that have broken down. Should we all stop driving cars because of that?

If you like the QTP design, get yourself a set. Before you put them on the car, cap the ends of the primaries and fill them up with water. See if any water leaks out. If they're leaky and QTP won't take care of you send them back to whoever you bought them from. Since they weren't installed, there won't be any problems returning them. That's my advice. I inspected all the welds very closely before I installed the headers because it only takes a pinhole miss of a weld to have a problem. It's really that simple. So far, I don't think I have any problems. They made 338rwhp through an auto, so they definitely work
