Just out of curiosity, was your stock exhaust in bad shape, missing, cut up or something? I ask because it is my understanding that the "Dynomax Ipipe WLK-54064 -$49.69" and "Dynomax overaxle WLK-53061 -$60.39" parts are OEM replacements. In other words, they're the same diameters/dimensions as what was there to begin with (like pretty much every other catback that is sold now that I think about it). So, why not save the $110 and just get the muffler?

Then again - it's been a while since I've been around a stock exhaust. But, I could have sworn it was 2 3/4" at the Y-to-I connection that expands to 3" back to the muffler...

says it has a 3" outside diameter... there is not 1/4" of metal in the piping. and when I installed it it didnt tapper down much at all, nothing like the stock piping. Also if it was 2.75" it would not have fit with my 3" inlet muffler.

shows 3" and where it connects to the ipipe goes on the outside of it, it expands some.

I'll measure it out tomorrow and let you peeps know. Cause this interests me.

figured it out, so its 2.75 where it goes over the ypipe. and then expands right after to 3"... is this not how most catbacks are? if it was 3" all the way to the ypipe wouldnt it be to large?

As you say, it's 2.75 where it mates to the factory Y-pipe. Just like most of the I-pipes on popular catbacks out there.

Again - unless you have a custom setup, the exhaust systems sold on both sides of the market (Pacesetter, QTP, Hooker, Kooks....Magnaflow, SLP, Borla, GMMG, etc.) all sell a setup that narrows down to 2.75" at the y-to-i pipe connection. This allows their products to work with stock parts as well as one another. Unless it requires modification or fabrication, it's 2.75" at that connection. The rest of the way back should be 3".

Personally, I went with a 3.5" catback and had my y-pipe modified with a Flowmaster merge collector. For me, I'm 3" from the collector into the merge, 3.5" from the merge to the muffler, and then dual 3" inches out the back.....with a cutout just before the axle. No 2.75" choke for me...

Your TSP Y-pipe shrinks down to 2.75. That is unless someone modified it.
