some people refer a cutout to a dump...

what do you mean you want it to get through the catback all the times?

when u want it legal u flip the switch to close the cutout, when u want it to bypass the muffler/catback then open the cutout....thus the reason for a cutout.

you will need to buy the cutout housing and the motor and your set. id suggest lookin at DMH or QTP

do you mean you want it to go though the mullers when you have it closed??
you will need a dump pipe to mount in front of you catback and the you cutout goes on that

Kay, you either have it go through your catback...or you open up the cutout and it "dumps" it at the I pipe right before the axle or right under the passenger rear seat pretty much. You just need to buy the electric cutout, and it will weld right up to your I pipe.

im lost? if it runs through your muffler then its going to be just as loud, are you talking about your cats? not to be a dick but it sounds like you just heard of cut outs and just wanted to make your car louder... correct me if that isnt the case. anyways your car doesnt have to have a muffler to be legal, just cats.

btw the button that your talking about is the mild to wild exhuast, the z06 has butterfly valves on the muffler that open up under throttle. i would know... look at the sig (it also has the mild to wild exhaust control on it)

the closest thing you are going to get to the z06 exhaust your talking about which is now on the new c6's, is an electric cutout in the i-pipe that will bypass the muffler with the flip of a switch...so quiet through the muffler when your with your dad or loud as hell when your with your friends

you arent going to be able to go through the muffler at all times...

Since you have the adjustable Borla cat back, just buy the electric cut-out itself and install it where the the plates would go to change your exhaust sound. If you are running wothout a plate on your Borla system then you are running an "open cut-out."

or you could go the extra mile and get an E-cutout and just flip a switch when your dad is not around.
