slp y pipe install i am going to order an slp y pipe tomomrw, do u guys think it is worth it, and how is the installation, do i just rip the old one down and just bolt the slp one up, or do i have to buy some new stuff to make it fit?
Re: slp y pipe install If you have stock exhaust manifolds go with the LG motorsports Y-pipe it's 2 3/4 inch pipe versus the 2 1/2 inch pipe on the SLP and stock y-pipe. You're not going to see much if any gain with the SLP pipe but you will pick up at least 5-10 HP with the LG unit.
Re: slp y pipe install The LG Y-pipe is $230 plus shipping. If you don't want to go with headers or can't go with headers because of the smog police then I'd say go with it. If your vehicle is 01-02 then the stock exhaust manifolds are decent, you could port your stock manifolds and go with the LG y-pipe and see 10 HP. If I were getting a GMMG exhaust I'd go with a set of LT's but I like my exhaust loud.

Yes, it's easy, take out the old, put in the new. However, you won't get much for hp gain. I changed my for looks, not hp. Also, I'm not going to put headers on later. If you're thinking headers down the road, don't do it.
