Default Lifting engine

I don't have any experience with lifting aluminum engines so I'd like a little advice from someone that has. I was planning on bolting my 2 lift chains to the uppermost inside bolt hole on the end of the heads. I don't know my mm sizes but it's about a 3/8 bolt using standard. I just don't want to break anything. Thanks, Steve

Can anyone help me with the previous question? I don't want to pull a chunk out of my heads. I will be lifting the 2 chains with a cherry picker. Thanks.

Are the heads still on the car?

That makes it a little more difficult. I normal do it with the larger head bolts. The holes for the P/S pump and A/C you could use those. The holes on the back of the heads are the same but I dont know how you will get the chain to clear the cowl. I wouldnt even try the intake or header bolt holes. Sorry I cant think of a good spot. You could drop the k-member put it on that the lift the car up and drop it on the motor and k-member.

Actually I am just moving the engine onto a '55 chevy chassis. It doesn't have any of the front accessories on it. Thanks.
