TB and Muffler Questions
TB and Muffler Questions I am getting some new mods next month, full exhaust and tune. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to go ahead and get an 85 mm tb or would it even be worth it? Also, I was wondering if I need a muffler with a single inlet and dual outlets or if it is one outlet or what. And last, I am doing a 3" cb, so does my muffler have to have a 3" inlet and outlet or can I get one with a 3" inlet and 2.5" outlets?
most ls1 guys go ahead and put a bigger TB on from what i've seen/read. it usually helps them more than it does lt1's. and as far as exhaust, most catbacks are 3" inlet/dual 2.5" outlets. pretty sure the ls1's came with a 3" I-pipe factory so if you wanted to save a little money then just get a 3" inlet/dual 2.5" muffler to put in place of the stock one.
