exhaust clamps
exhaust clamps I had the regular exhaust clamps that have the u bolt and the bracket on the bottom side. And it causes the pipe to collapse and hard to remove. Is there a clamp that does not do this?

I had a bunch of those strap clamps for my Corsa Catback. Long story short those clamps don't put down as much clamping force as ubolt clamps and will cause exhaust leaks or allow the exhaust to twist and sag. Trust me, even if you bottom out the threads and torque until your red in the face sometimes they just won't put down the force. So what solution did I find since I didn't want to use ubolt clamps for the reason you pointed out.
Stepped clamps you can find them at almost any exhaust shop or semi related business. They put pressure on both pipes and hold it secure.

I put stainless steel strap clamps on. They're great, in that they don't collapse your pipes, and they won't rust. They're about $11 each though. You can purchase them at Jegs.com or locally at many stores (e.g. O'Reilly Auto Parts). About the same as what Bouvs is talking about, but he used stepped ones. You can use stepped, or you can use the kind I used, non-stepped wtih two bolts on each end of the clamp. One note, my pipes are 3", however I found the 2-3/4" clamps fit tighter/better than the 3" clamps.
