Air & Egr Im getting ready to install lt SLP headers on my 00 z28 and I was wandering when we take the AIR & EGR out how bad will it run? How long could I go without a tune for the headers and no AIR & EGR?
The car won't run bad at all if you remove the air/egr. You will throw codes that you need to delete, unless you don't care about the ses light coming on.
Headers will make you run rich up top and lean down low though. You'll need a tune to get a good benifit from them.

On my 3 previous cars, 2 LT1's, 1 LS1 I ran with out a tune for a while some times cold start would stumble a little bit but other wise it was fine accept for the SES light, but get a tune it will be more worth it. But you won't hurt anything running it.
It wont run any different you will just have a ses light on. You can get it the codes deleted and a tune but you don't have to. Im running without a tune and my car runs just fine just the ses light is on. This winter i plan on getting a tune tho.
