Now that I'm going back to regular exhaust. I've been having a problem keeping my ltft's in check due to the fact I have true duals. It should be easier to keep them in check now that I'm going back to normal exhaust right? |

Because of how short they are and the distance of the 02's from the end of the pipe. |

Long tubes are what gets your fuel trims messed up, not what's downstream from them. The location of the O2 sensors results in readings that are interpreted as lean conditions and the fuel trims are kicked up. |
Yeah I know that fuel trims never stay the same I'm just having a hell of a time trying to get them dialed in and trying to get them to stay there LOL. |
 you could just extend the pipes.... |

Once you get them within 5% I would leave well enough alone. I try to get mine between 0 & -5 and then leave it alone. You may go back a week later and fine tune it a little more but the fact is the only downside to them changing is throwing the wot fuel off, but if the trims are close then when it does change its not going to throw it off enough to amount to much. |
I think he meant to stay within the tolerance range. Not at a certain number |
I tuned mine to run open loop. No more fuel trim probs or erratic idle/surging due to slow switching. |
