HELP switching from LQ9 to LS2
I'm thinking about switching back to an aluminum block. What exactly needs to be changed besides the block of course? Isn't the timing cover different or something? Anything else not a direct cross over? Thanks for the help.

Yes. I have a built 370 LQ9.....and I want to switch back to an aluminum block. I will be getting a new crank, but will be using the same rods/pistons. Its okay to bore an LS2 30 over right???? I am mostly concerned about transferring all of the external parts of the block like the timing cover, chain, oil pan and accessories and whatnot.

We have a conversion kit that has all you'll need as far as the conversion goes. It includes the LS2 front cover, LS2 valley cover, LS2 timing set, LS2 lifter trays, and the cam/knock sensor extension harness. It sells for $379 and we have all the components in stock ready to ship!
Also, depending on which year the LQ9 block is you might have to switch from early to late style head bolts/studs.
