Default Spark Plugs

I just wanted to let everyone know that thinks spark plugs are a bitch with headers you are sadly mistaken. #8 (Passenger Side, Rear) was extremely easy to get from the bottom. What i had to do it was a spark plug Socket that was able to be turned by a wrench and that is how i had to losen it and tighten it. The socket came with my craftsman kit. We didn't need much room to do it; we just had it on some rhino ramps.

#6 was just as easy from the top.

I will say though, if you are a big guy with fat little arms you will not be able to do these plugs.

This took me, Redocmach1, Bluestrat, and Chris 203 45 min to do plugs.

Just thought i would shead a little information for the searchers!

I can do mine in 25 minutes from the top, that includes checking the gap and putting on a bit of anti-seize, R&R of the passenger coil pack as well.
Thanks for the heads up though, any information on how people do things differently is appreciated.

i changed mine just recently with longtubes and it was much faster to just take the coil packs off.. changed all of them in 30 minutes. no gapping though

i'll try that next time. I suppose with the coil pack off the passenger side would be as easy as the drivers side.

i do 6/8 from the bottom too

i like that video in your sig, im glad my youtube account is being put to a good use! hahahah

i think i may be bringing the SS out to AZ again in about month, you and me finaly gotta run, ill take the A4 from a dig where chris cant lol

I do them in 25-30 minutes too. 1-7 from the top and number 8 from under the car. I use a flex head 3/8 inch drive ratchet with either a 1 inch or 3 inch extention and sprak plug socket depending on the particular plug on 1-7...For number 8 I use a 1/4 inch drive with a 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch adapter for my 3/8 spark plug socket from under the car. I change them every 15,000 miles and the car has 172,000 + miles on it so I have had some practice... I use NKG TR6 plugs gapped at .055 with dielectric grease and antiseize.

Took me less than 10 mins to do them with the headers off. On Dakota's car I had the driver's side done in about 10 minutes too, just the passenger side that's a bitch to get at. And Jordan, I want a piece of your car too. Garrett says that my car reminds him of yours and we have pretty similar mods.

I did them with the engine on a engine stand in the shop in 5 minutes .......could have probably cut some time that off if I didn't have a beer in one hand.
