Default Heat Wrap for headers?

I bought some painted pacesetter headers i know they will rust thats cool whatever! I am wondering if i can wrap them with the heat wrap tape! IS this safe on painted headers? I think this would make them look better longer since there not coated? and suggestions or comments would be greatly appriciated!

heat wrap traps in moisture, making them rust faster

Everybody talks bad about header wrap. I had the headers in my old 383 IROC wrapped and never had a problem. I wrapped them before they were installed, so they were wrapped as good as I could do it.
