Help with gauges on swap Looking for a little help with gauges on a ls1 swap. I'm one of those old guy that thinks a hei distributor is new age electronics. I have my ls1 engine in and running great but I don't have temp and oil pressure gauges in yet and I'm little nervous to run it very long until I can monitor the engine. I'm not sure the fans are working right because they have not come on yet after about 5 mins. of running. How is the best way to hookup electric oil pres. and temp gauges? I think I can move the sending unit from the left side head to the ride side this will give me room for Auto meter sending unit on the left. It is to tight on the right side because of the ac box. I don't think this will cause a problem(right)? I feel I can't remove the stock sending temp unit because I think it should control the fans.
When they did my wiring harness they left wiring for different gauges are they for stock gauges only? Has anybody put temp gauge on the 4l60e? . Hope I didn't scare everybody off with so many question. Any help would be appreciated even if it comes in bits and pieces. Thanks

I am trying to figure out how to mount my oil pressure sending unit now..........as to the temp gauge I have one. Got the trans temp probe and screwed it into a factory service hole on the driver's side.
