Thumbs up Need help

I just did a LS1 to a LS6 01 ZO6 motor in my 2000 SS and i know i have to change the computer but how different will it run with the new redline and all that **** on the old computer should i change it right away because the redline on the zo6 is 6800 an the ls1 its 6200how much diff will it run.

First of all, you don't need to change your computer, only get it reprogrammed. Your current computer will probably be able to run the new engine but it won't be running at it's best without a tune. Just the fact that your redline is programmed lower than the LS6 redline will make it so that you won't be able to get to the peak power curve on the new engine. If $ is a concern, then drive it like it is for a while until you can save up for a tune.

I agree, your computer should be fine. If you just installed the motor, I don't know if I would want to run it to 6800 rpm right away anyway. Like toothdoc said, just get a tune and you'll be good
