Don't have a write up but its not that hard. I did mine in about a hour. First take the black valve stem cap off the a/c line and cover it with a rag. Then take a screwdriver and let all the freon out of the system. Then remove the two lines from the fire wall and the dryer can thats next to the cruse control. Next remove the main pully belt and then take off the a/c belt. Now you can unbolt the a/c compressor and the compressor bracket from the engine block. Then remove the air filter lid and shroud so the radiator's are loose. Remove the a/c radiator and replace air filter box and lid.

If you want to do it legally, drive it to a AC shop and have the recover the R134a.. they might do it for free or charge you or even pay you for the Freon...
or you can just let it escape into the air as conan said.. you can you a tire valve tool to just unscrew and remove the valve, will make it that much easier.
Another option is to use a small hose (or use the R134a gauge hose) and direct it into a 1 liter soda bottle to try and collect the oil from spraying all over the place while the freon is purging.
