That's a complete joke for the other's that search and find this thread later!!!! DO NOT DO THAT

It's actually not a bad idea, except that I plan to pull the fuel rail and empty it completely prior to putting any heat to it.

Honestly, aftermarket fuel rails are cheap enough these days. just but and run aftermarket rails.

Are they? Every where I look, it's not just the rails, but all of the fittings to get it to hook up to the facotry line that gets expensive.

I was searching around today, and it looks like it's going to be around $400 to get the rails, lines, and fittings.

If you know of anywhere cheaper, by all means hit me up with a link. My only preferance is no red or blue fittings. Black or silver only.

yea, the black/silver fittings are a bit more money, but $400?! how much are you spending on the rails? I've got the nasty nate rails i need to get rid of if you want them for cheap($75). You'll still need to fab up the fittings part.

I agree the aftermarket rails is obviously more money than modifying the stock rails, but man, they will look a lot better than a stock rail. Regardless of performance.

I guess worst case scenario, try and modify your stock rail, and if it doesn't work, go aftermarket.

And I agree, I think going with a new set of fuel rails is the way to go. Hell, these are an appearance mod, so why not add a little more eye candy and do it right.
