NEED HELP WITH EGR AND AIR BLOCK OFFS I RECENTLY INSTALLED MAC HEADERS, BUT I FOUND OUT AFTER I BOUGHT THEM THAT SLP CHANGED THE EGR AND AIR CONNECTIONS ON THE SS CAMARO. SO THEY WILL NOT LINE UP. I WOULD LIKE TO JUST BLOCK THEM OFF, BUT AM AFFRAID OF RECIEVING WARNING LIGHTS AND POSIBLY CAUSING MY CAR TO NOT RUN RIGHT. CAN ANYBODY SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS FOR ME?

Only thing is you'll throw an SES light because your AIR tubes aren't working.
No biggie, when you get a chance to have your car LS1 editted they will delete the code and get rid of the SES light

Re: NEED HELP WITH EGR AND AIR BLOCK OFFS will the ses light cause my car too rich or too lean? thats what i have been told, that the engine kinda goes in a "safe" mode and runs poor with ses light on.

Re: NEED HELP WITH EGR AND AIR BLOCK OFFS Depending on the year of your car 01 and 02 do not have EGR. I removed the AIR pump and have not gotten a code yet. Some do get codes but they should go away with time, as most seem to. If you removed the EGR you will get codes and may affect part throttle drivability. You will not affect it enough to matter much. WOT the EGR is off and acts like an obstruction in the intake.
Re: NEED HELP WITH EGR AND AIR BLOCK OFFS slp didnt "change" the connections, what happen was in 2000 gm changed the air tubes so they are like 90 degrees off from the 98-99's. it stayed this way until 2002. you just got headers for the wrong year
you can block off the egr/air connections but like it was said before this will give you an ses light, however there will be no effect on performance

Speed Inc. has them for $14 a set plus shipping. (1 EGR, 2 A.I.R.) Thats the cheapest Ive come across, but Im sure theres cheaper ones. I made one for my EGR and it works, but Im going to buy one anyway. Im very picky and I want them to match. 
What I'd really like is to swap someone out that has no provisions on thier headers, then I wouldnt have to worry about block offs. But thats never going to happen, so block offs it is.
