Borla XR-1 with a cutout
Borla XR-1 with a cutout I have longtubes, TSP ORY, and a Borla XR-1 muffler in place of my old SLP Loudmouth setup. I also cut where the 3" pipe merges to two 2.5" pipes after the axle.
Would a QTP cutout after the y-pipe help? Keep in mind I have a reverse split cam. MY current understanding is that my XR-1 muffler flows pretty well... My last dyno run was 387 SAE, 395 uncorrected with the original SLP setup and a looser converter. I'd like to hit right at or near 400hp with the tighter converter and new exhaust.

Hmmm.... I didn't think a few opinions would be so difficult. lol One would assume it will make more power with the cutout. But.... Is it worth it for the $170-200, especially aready having the Borla muffler.
man, im thinking about replacing my off road y pipe and magnaflow catback and running the borla XR1 right off the header. im curious on how loud that would be and see if it makes any noticeable gains.
