?new heads or work up existing ones?
?new heads or work up existing ones? i have futral f14 cam and full slp exhaust, headers on back, ls6 intake and would like some opinions on heads. Should i buy aftermarket or just get my stock aluminum ones reamed out and worked up. I already have the patriot gold kit in them and if i could save myself a grand that would be nice.

do you have any names or brands? I don't have a lot of time to look around I am always at work. i know of afr and patriot and tfs? they all seem kind of steep though.
Talk to Richard at WCCH about having yours ported or another vendor who ports heads. I like to use Richard, he's helped me and my customers with a few things and has a good reputation. But he is not alone in here, many good vendors here to help you.
You looking at a few different options in the $1300 range.
Having yours worked by WCCH or someone similar, or Patriot or TSP already cnc'ed heads. ( Patriot and TSP seem to have the least expensive heads, appologies to anyone left out of this price range please speak up if someone was left out)
Or look for a used set of aftermarket castings.
AFR,TFS,ET,Dart are all aftermarket castings and will cost more money. TSP has a casting coming out and will be priced less than most from we've seen so far in their threads.
Generally aftermarket heads offer more features and better flow chararteristics (depending on who ported them) than OEM heads, Thats not to say a talented porter cant make a set of OEM heads outshine an aftermarket casting. Most important is to match up the top end correctly for the application intended as well as the components to work together.
