Re: CAR PAUSES Are you getting any SES codes. That would be my first place to check. Just today after taking out my AIR system I disturbed my plug wires which developed a missfire. It acted exactly the way you described. If you do not have access to a diagnosis tool, check the plugs they may need to be changed. Then go from there.

Re: CAR PAUSES Check the throttle position sensor on your throttle body. Mine would rev hard then just fall on her face - then catch herself and act normally. Would feel like the car lost all power for a split second. Also when just cruising - if it did it - the car would jump around then act fine.
Turn your car on and let it idle and play with the sensor and wires to see if that does anything. If its bad - its an easy fix.
