Default what is this?

looks like some sorta vaccum regulated solenoid for the AIR system... the car is an 02.. it was attatched to the drivers side head.

I am assuming I can remove this... can I just cap off the vaccum port on the back of the intake manifold? the fuel regualtor doesnt need vaccum reference correct? thanks

While your at it, I would have just jerked the air pump off that the hoses were connected to.. it's behind and down from your drivers side headlight.. pretty much infront of the fender wall.. held on by 4 bolts (cant recall the sizes, maybe 12,14?)
