Rule of thumb on a street car, if your not going to change atleast a 1/2 ratio then dont bother.

yea i have the good 2.73 in my car i want to go to 3.42 or 3.73 but i have not made my mind up i have an auto and they say 3.73 in an auto is like 4.10 in a manual which i think would be a little to much for me i go on long drives and i have duals bullet mufflers i have not made my mind up yet

I see that you are a M6 6 speed, I liked my car better with 3.73 for the street (when I had a stock LS6 405hp long block crate motor almost all my bolt ons exept my cam Futral FM13, FAST 90 and 30lb injectors) and I changed to 4.10 before I bought my 12 bolt to see what gear I wanted (I only picked up around a 1/10 in the 1/4 with gear change on Mickey Thompson Drag Radials) before I order the 12 bolt to see what gear to order it with but I run tires when I race now (most of the time) the lower gear helps.
