to anyone that knows about lids?
to anyone that knows about lids? do you think its worth it to get rid of a stealth air box and go back to stock with a tsp lid or do you think the gains are close enough to just keep it? thanks
Re: to anyone that knows about lids? From what I've heard the stealth setup isn't that great. It has the huge filter but the lid necks down smaller then a regular lid. If you could get a good bit out of the stealth and buy a regular lid I'd say you would be better off.

now the horsepower difference might not be worth it though.. unless you pick up an used lid somewhere....

Re: to anyone that knows about lids? im running a texas speed performance lid and the fast toys ram air with a k&n filter and i couldent be happier... throtal responce is a lot quicker it pulls harder through out. you will definetly notice the extra pull in the upper rpm's... i say ebay the stelth if you cant get the price for the new lid chock it up to experience.... eather that or see if a friend will lend you there lid for a bit so you can test it out.
Re: to anyone that knows about lids? Are you happy with the stealth? If so then keep it. If you're that curious...then ebay the stealth and go with a tsp lid, you can't go wrong with them. They're the best out there....add a ftra and a k&n filter and you're set. Its up to you man....your hard earned cash!
