Is the ATI crank pinning kit the only option?

Is the ATI crank pinning kit the only option?

I know the ATI kit works well, but I'm thinking $150 is a bit much for such a relatively simple setup.

Are there any other practical options out there?

Thought I read that A&A Corvette had a pinning kit that they sell with their superchargers that work also - $75??...can't remember for sure though. May want to check it out and find out for sure.

Just to be clear I believe that kit pins from the front whereas the ATI kit pins from the side. I know many have used the A&A kit with success!

If you have an ATI balancer you DO NOT want to use any other crank pinning tool except for the ATI. The ATI tool pins the crank vertically and uses the keyway in the ATI hub to locate on the pin. The A&A tool pins horizontally by drilling half way between the crank and balancer where a is pin is used to lock the balancer in place.
