Default Differences in 98 vs. 99-02 LS1 Water Pumps

I hear there are differences and want to know for sure before i buy a new pump from a fellow board member???

98 up to 02' should be the same, 97' and earlier where mechanically driven, assuming of course it is from a V8 model and not a V6 version.

Yea, ls1, ive heard the pulleys were different on the 98's but still functional for newer years and utilizes the same belt length

The 97/98 LS1 pumps had a bolt on pulley and 99-up have a press on type. They are interchangeable and use the same belt.
