Hey guys I have been thinking of changing my plug wires, what do you guys think about the Taylors Thurderbolt 50's? Anyone used them? Are they too much wire for my Mods?

 

From what I was reading the other day, someone did a comparison test of all the major players in the wire market for LS1's, and those ones were some of if not THE crappiest of them all, even compared to stock.

For our cars, the MSD's are the best (and just happen to be cheap!)

 

Ive been using the GM 07-up red wires and the fitment is great and work well with headers... They are 8mm i believe and cost like 35+shipping on ebay

 

my car came with them on there and i never had any problems with them. i swapped over to msd during a cam swap though.

 

Hopefully they will be reliable to me too.

01ssreda4, do you have any idea of how long your car had the wires? Did you check the resistance on them after you removed them?

 

nope i sure didnt, they had to be at 2 years old. they still worked so i sold them to someone on here for like 15 bucks.

 

Last set of Taylors I bought broke the first time I tried to remove them....7 out of 8 just ripped at the connector.....

 

been there done that but with my daily driver.....it sucks

 

Taylors are rated at 50 ohms, what are the MSD wires rated at?

 

If you get Taylors you will hate it. Anytime you go to pull them off they will break. Can't go wrong with MSD wires.
