I've got a 236/242 110lsa cam and 11.75/1 compression. Are there any catalytic converters that would hang? I have a hunch the unburnt fuel at low rpm's would overheat just about any cat. Any thoughts?

Thanks. I'll check with them. Magnaflow/carsound has a new spun model that they said was pretty tough but still subjecto to meltdown if fed too much unburnt fuel.
I'm curious to know if anyone has first hand experience with a big cam and a cat that still lives.

I thought there were lots of guys running high flow cats and large cams. Maybe one of them will chime in. I plan on running my American Racing high flow cats with my new 232/236 cam this spring.

Well, that's encouraging. I think my main issue is the tight lobe centers on my cam. I know that a 114 degree would be much nicer on the cats per give duration. Mine definetely throws some rich exhaust out at lower rpms. I'm getting curious too.. if I went with a single 4" random technologies cat, how much would it ding my hp on a 450-475ish rwhp car?
