Any cat that will work ok with a big cam?
Any cat that will work ok with a big cam? I've got a 236/242 110lsa cam and 11.75/1 compression. Are there any catalytic converters that would hang? I have a hunch the unburnt fuel at low rpm's would overheat just about any cat. Any thoughts?
Thanks. I'll check with them. Magnaflow/carsound has a new spun model that they said was pretty tough but still subjecto to meltdown if fed too much unburnt fuel.

I thought there were lots of guys running high flow cats and large cams. Maybe one of them will chime in. I plan on running my American Racing high flow cats with my new 232/236 cam this spring.
Well, that's encouraging. I think my main issue is the tight lobe centers on my cam. I know that a 114 degree would be much nicer on the cats per give duration. Mine definetely throws some rich exhaust out at lower rpms. I'm getting curious too.. if I went with a single 4" random technologies cat, how much would it ding my hp on a 450-475ish rwhp car?
My ARH looked like metallic core Magnaflow cats. Maybe Nick will chime in to confirm?
