LS1 vs. LS6 vs. 6.0 intake
I want to swap to the LS1 intake (which was free) to gain manifold to hood/cowl clearance for my own
project so a power gain from just the swap alone is not necessary but a power loss or bottleneck is definitly NOT acceptablealso, is a stock LS1 intake able to be ported to increase flow potential (didn't SAM try this??), and what kind of results can be achived by hand porting a composite manifold??
i thought they were the same all around from 4.8 up to 6.0 of the same years
if you plan on making more power, ide go ahead and get a 01-02(LS6) intake
find an Fbody in a salvage yard and get the manifold off it, for cheap

Yes, the truck maifolds are VERY different than the LS1/LS6 mainfolds, they are almost as tall as the old TPI mainfiolds....picture an LS1 manifold that has been stretched another 4" taller and you pretty much have a truck manifold
