velocity stack. opinions on this mod please. 
yes,ive been told you can go to a plumbing store for $5 and get this part im told.it still looks like a descent cheap mod which im looking for at this time.

Re: velocity stack. Velocity isn't that important in the intake side. FLOW is. Air needs to flow in nice and smooth, unobstructed. Now on the exhaust side, velocity is important and so is flow.
So no, just don't buy it.

Re: velocity stack. I noticed some extra power on the low end.
In normal driving, shifting by the feel of the
motor, I found myself shifting a few MPH earlier
than normal-indicating that it felt stronger.
Put it this way, it's better than a bellow.
I only picked it up because Vararam is a big name
in C5 induction and now that Tbyrne is selling it,
they have a respectable name as well.

A guy on the Corvette Forum actually put one in his Z06,& he claimed .2 sec. better in the1/4 mile.He took it out & said he ran about .2 sec. slower.Now thats what I like to see actual proof,anyone can have an oppinion.He said he did a few runs subsequently with & without,& consistantly came around that no. faster with it in.Also I once heard the Donaldson Blackwing wouldnt give the up to 18 horse better, but a lot less .TPIS tuning & performance dynoed one put on a '98 C5 & it got 31 more HP!A recient post @ Cor.Forum, someone had put a Z06 air box & lid & a K&N on a '01 coupe & on a DynoJet mach. he got a 282 RWHP.He put on a BW & a month latter on the same DynoJet he was shocked , he picked up 17+ RWHP,& !15 FPT!I like to see some actuall proof before I evaluate the validity of a product & its good to read about those who are doing that!Oh BTW the guy with the BW wished he would have dynoed his car with the stock filter & box ,just to see how much HP he would have made with the BW over stock.
