MAF and headers throwing codes???

MAF and headers throwing codes??? if i install headers on my car with no cats....i heard it throws a code.....how bad is it....and how will my car run?
also i installed a new MAF ends...it looks just like stock except it doesnt have the metal thing running through the middle....would this have anything to do with me recieving a service engine soon light?and do i need tunning with a new MAF? thanks

Re: MAF and headers throwing codes??? If you don't put cats in, you will throw a code because the rear O2 sensors will either not be plugged in or will sesnse that something is wrong. To fix this, you can either buy O2 Simms or use tuning to disable the codes from coming on.
With the MAF ends you shouldn't be throwing a code, but everything is possible. Go to an AutoZone nearby and have the code read.
