Default 02 SS SLP CMExhaust question

I have a 02 SS with CME. If i remove the cats will the exhaust be a little louder with the stock manifolds???,,,If i install Pacesetter LTs and ORY will it get louder with the Stock SLP muffler? The car sounds good but it is pretty quiet now,,, just wanting it a little louder.

What muffler would be a little more stout sounding with the SLP Center Mount Exhaust system.

Thanks for the input.

I have an 02 SS with the CME Option. I installed the MagnaFlow Catback System and had my OEM CME attached to it. Sounds Excellent.
Of Course installing a set of LT's would do a world of good. It'd be much more Aggressive!

I have BBK longtubes, ORY connected to the stock CME exhaust system. At idle, it's still quiet but quite a bit louder then stock. At WOT is when it really opens up and you get that aggressive sound.

Ill more then likely be switching out the system to a Magnaflow muffler. Its just not loud enough for me and i also dont want to be too loud. So i think, the magnaflow's the best way for me to go. Since it's pretty quiet with stock manifolds and i hear it really opens up with longtubes.

If i can, ill try and get a video of my car for you to listen to sometime.

yes, removing cats even on stock manifolds make it louder and yes LTs with ORY will make sound even louder even on that same muffler. anything freeing up exhaust flow will make a car louder generally

I have the CME as well, i believe its the SLP dual dual muffler or whatever, LEAVE it on the vehicle! it will be loud enough with LT's and ORY, it sounds wonderful, very nice low roaring rumble.
I have Pacesetter LT's and ORY with Dual DMH's low-pro cutouts to do my noise making.

Once you get LT's, it'll be loud & raspy lol I know what you mean though, i had the LM2 on my Z28 w/ stock manifolds. I loved the sound, but im thinking it may be to loud for me if i go with the LM2 again for my SS.

I would just do LT & off road y-pipe and leave the stock cat back It has a 3'' y- pipe and a stainless steel muffler that flow's great.
