Default Stock MAF with 90/90 setup Q's

I have read about people having issues with aftermarket MAF's. I will soon be running a SLP replacement LID / stock MAF / feeding a fast 90/90 setup. Will the MAF and lid be weak points in the airflow coming into the engine? Or should I be fine with what I have going.

The car is a full bolt on with a 228/230 cam on stock heads. Im not sure if I will be breathing in enough air to require upgrading the lid and MAF, or if I just need a new MAF, or nothing at all lol

Stay away from the SLP/Granatelli 85mm MAF's... Simply purchase a "Delphi" or Z06 MAF.. with the other two, you are paying for the name IMO.. Why not go with GM parts that were designed to gowith the LSX base... Ofcourse you will need to fine "tune" the new MAF.. but will be well worth the $$$... Go to Ebay.. type in Delphi MAF, or Z06MAF.. i got mine for $49.00 shipped (New)...

I too am stepping up to the FAST 90/90,FT85mm lid,Delphi MAF to compliment my H/C..

Good Luck..

Well basically since I am going cam only for awhile, is upgrading the size of the MAF and or lid going to net any noticable gains? Or will my engine simply not suck enough air to matter?
