Header Install Help Needed. ASAP.

Header Install Help Needed. ASAP. Ok i just got done installing my Jet hot Long tubes with the jet hot y-pipe. I have all the header bolts in firmly. But when I rev it up around 2500 rpm it makes a horrible clicking like metal on metal contact. It is extremely loud. It makes the clicking from 2500-3000 rpm. It sounds like it is definately coming from the driver side header. I used the gaskets provided by jet hot. Is this just a leak or what. Also it seems to be idleing very ruff. I have tightened the bolts several times. but it still makes the horrible metal on metal clicking noise. I have looked at the header when i revi t up and it doesnt appears to vibrate at all. What the heck is going on. Thanks for any help.

Re: Header Install Help Needed. ASAP. I had clearance issues with my Hooker headers almost hitting the K-member on the drivers side. At least one person on this side ground part of the K-member for extra clearance using Hooker/Jethots. That may explain the ticking. The rough idle I would guess would be caused by a leak of some sort, screwing with the O2 sensors.

Anyhow check over all your spark plugs.
If you have emmissions setup it could be your AIR system ticking, you would need to do the air restrictor mod.
Could be an exhaust leak somewhere to.
Good luck finding it, cause I have yet to figure out my ticking noise after a few months

Re: Header Install Help Needed. ASAP. JET HOT GASKETS SUCK!!! I went to the dealer and got some GM Gaskets and what do you know the leak is gone. Thanks to everyone for your help. Just for some info where has everyone bean grinding the K member at? Thanks again to everyone or there help.
