Default Disabling fuel pressure regulator

I am using an LS1 in a street rod project and will be using a Mallory fuel pressure regulator on the frame rail. I'd like to use the stock fuel rails, so is there any way to disable the stock regulator? Thanks.

The stock regulator is in the gas tank. I don't know what the hell that thing on the fuel rail is but it can't be a regulator because there is no return line.
This is assuming you're not using an LS1 gas tank.

OK, I was assuming that the round piece that is held in by a snap ring on the fuel rail inlet was a regulator. If not, what is it? Thanks.

It's a dampener to keep the fuel pressure from pulsing.

Oh sorry, I thought it was a regulatur. So I guess it's ok to leave it in place, right? Thanks for your help.

Default fuel pressure regulator

look at it like a one way check valve pretty much allowing the fuel to cross from one side but not back to the other like stated above practically
