Default Build My Engine

Top end that is. My car has a MTI 6.0 short block and headers with their X1 cam. That's it. Everything else bolted to it is original and untouched (heads, intake, TB, MAF). The car dynoed 422 as it sits, crushed header tubes and all. I don't think that short block is getting what it deserves. This car is my DD. I have other toys that are absolutely crazy, so this one needs to remain streetable. So, what do y'all suggest for MAF, TB, intake and heads?

+1 What are you looking at spending? You have the choice of any of the aftermarket castings like AFR, TFS, etc. Or if your budget is a little tighter, then look into a set of ported factory castings, plus a FAST 92mm TB/Intake.

What do you have as far as exhaust goes? The air cant come in, if it cant get out.

Anyone used the RHS heads? They have done really well on my 377 and my friend's ford 351.

What kind of injectors would I need to go with on this setup? I have the MTI X1 cam, which I found on another site to be 230/227 .591/.571 112 LSA. From searches on this site, I might do well to just have some 5.3 heads fully ported.

So far I like the cam currently in the car. I'm just concerned about the injectors being big enough. Here is the rest of the info. on my current setup:

LQ4 block 370 ci
Wiseco forged pistons
Manley forged rods
Polished stock LS1 crank
11:1

99blanco, what kind of an increase would I be looking at with your setup? Specs on the cam?

Well it all depends on what you want out of the car. We grind the cam to suite your needs, it's not a one cam fits all deal, we treat each car individualy
We can go with 205 for a street/strip setup or 225's for a wild setup, its all about what you want out of the car.
