Engine cutting out, temp gauge goin crazy
I now have a problem with the car cutting out whenever I get on it pretty good. I drove around easy for a day and then drove around real easy for a good 20 minutes yesterday and I finally got on it. Whenever it cuts out like this when I get on it, I can look down and my temperature gauge drops from the middle point to whatever the middle mark is between cold and normal(I wanna say like 180). And it just keeps fluctuating up and down and the car kind of bucks.
As a side note, when I originally installed the heads in 07', we broke my temp sensor and i had to get a new one. So either the new sensor is messed up or the wiring.... or there is air bubbles in the head(i wouldn't think that would do this). It only cuts out when I get on it. And the gauge acts goofy for a while after that.
The sensor is visually fine, the harness looks fine all the way till it gets into the loom and the connector looks fine. I have disconnected the hose to the little coolant passage on the line that connects the 2 heads together and kept filling the radiator until it started flowing fluid through there to make sure I got as much of the air out of the system as I could.
Has anyone ever experienced this issue??? I don't know what to do other than try replacing that sensor again...
Good luck buddy, sometimes electrical problems can be a bitch to track down.
let me know what it is after you find it.
