i have 2000 ls1 camaro with some good stuff but stock head. should p&p them or should i buy new ones and also is the torquer 2 a good cam does it have good power

More than likely you have the 853 or 241 heads which when ported will flow pretty decent however if you go to an LS6 style (243) head along with P&P you could see some rather nice gains HP/TQ wise, especially when matched with nice cam.
As an example, I have LS6 heads P&P and hand blended with 2.02 IV/1.60 EV..when combined with a GT1-1 (229/242 .631/.631 114) and all supporting mods my 383 made 500hp/440tq to the wheels. Cam has since been changed so no new #'s yet. The heads flow as well or better than the 225 AFR's.

 

i would upgrade to the LS6 heads if you could, it all depends on how much you want. a machine shop told me for significant gains it wouldnt be worth the money to P&P but i dont know how true that is
