Default Need help with a couple of ground wires.

Ok so my engine is all back together again after my h&c swap but i'm trying to turn the engine over for the first time and i'm having issues. First off, ground wires.....I got all of them hooked up (including the ones behind the drivers head) except for the braided one on the drivers side that comes out of the harness bundle of the o2 sensor and also the ground from the battery. Where does the braided one go, chassis or block? And where should i bolt up the ground for the battery, block or motor mount nut? Right now i have the battery ground bolted up on a nut on the suspension and when i try to crank the engine over the starter does not do anything......Also there's a ground on the drivers side o2 sensor harness.....Where does that one go? Sorry for all the questions, i'll take pics if anyone needs to see what i'm talking about.

The braided one goes from the block to the chassis. The ground from the battery goes to the block.

I see, so the braided ground was originally on the block then it runs up through that harness and to the chassis? What about that o2 sensor ground? It's real short and i don't have alot of play to move it over somewhere and bolt it up, thanks alot for the help.

I put that braided wire in my car, bought the car without an engine. That braided wire goes from the block to the chassis.
Fortunately I also have an unmolested car and was able to see how the wire was run.

I can't tell you without pics. It's close to the alternator.

I have no idea what you mean by an O2 sensor ground.
