Question Thrush Welded

I heard a rumor yesterday that the Thrush Welded mufflers are pretty much the same as the Flowmaster 40s. The guy I was talking to said that Flow lost the patent or something, so the Thrush ones pretty much have the same internals.

Is this true? Anyone heard the Thrush Welded mufflers, do they sound like the Flowmaster 40s? Pretty good deal if its true, they are only 30 bucks a piece...

I have duals on my car with those mufflers. It sounds very good, and yes just like 40 series Flowmasters. The internals are very similar to 40 series.

I will work getting a clip. I have longtubes and no cats.

Well thats the first time I have heard that. I guess it would come down to personal taste.

Again its all based on opinion but Mustangs with 40 series Flowmasters are considered by most to be the best sounding exhaust on the road. These mufflers sound very very close to the same. They are built very similar inside and the case is about the same size.

Its snowing up a storm outside right now but maybe in a couple of days I can get you guys a sound clip.
