I did not have to take off the headers to put them on. I would assume on most header applications, you wouldn't. Its hard to get them in there, but you can do it if you jack up your engine enough. The guy helping me wanted to take off the k-member just to have extra room to set them in place.

Went WOT last night several times. The car feels a lot more crisp and clean up front, esp when it shifts. My engine does not move an inch. I had my GF get in my car and rev it up, while I was underneath. Exhaust is locked in place. This will give me an opportunity to push the Y pipe closer to the floorboard to get more clearance.

Solid motor mounts, thus far, is a great mod. The ONLY vibrations I get are from the 600-700 rpm range. So from a dead stop, I get about half a second of vibribations. To be honest, I had more vibrations in my stock 1992 Honda Accord and 1990 240sx. I REPEAT, THE VIBRATIONS AREN'T BAD. Keep in mind, that I do NOT have a cam in my car. . . but as far as I can see, someone who is putting a cam in their car, shouldn't be worried about vibrations.

I'm a reasonable person, and I'm here to say that if you were thinking about solid motor mounts but where up in the air about them, go ahead and make the purchase. They are not an unreasonable mod like some people make them out to be...esp on a DD.

well it is deff easier with headers out but not impossible with them in, i would suggest having ratchet wrenches for sure if doing it with headers in

Good to hear positive feedback on solid mounts. I am also debating on poly/solid mounts. I might have missed it ,but where did you purchase your mounts?
Thanks

I purchased the Spohn solid mounts through the WS6store. Quick delivery, and great customer service.

I have tuned and ridden in a buttload of cars with swapped mounts... The polys feel just like the solids.

I have the Spohn units on my car too and love them.

so, polys have the exact same vibrations as the solids? I don't know what polys feel like, because I have no first hand experience with them (on motor mounts).
