they do make an improvement in the top end.
i loved the nearly 20hp i picked up. and it pulls harder down low too...since I picked up 5-10hp and torque across the board.

that's how mine feels and I might get more once it's tuned for the intake...actually I might have picked up more
I dynoed 325 with open cutouts, track times suggest 344 hp with closed cutouts. I just have 2.25" duals so the flow might not be the best through the exhaust.
