Default Cleaning MAF wires

Am I correct here? Use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip on the 'vertical bars' and stay away from the 'thin wires'. Anything else? Thanks.

i believe the "thin wires" are the sensors themselves.

I used a Qtip, and alchol on those, "very very very carefully" and cleaned the crap off of them, 4,000 miles ago, with no problems.
