Removing cats

Removing cats I was wondering if i have a catback and remove the stock cats and in place weld in a set of pipes will that mess with anything other than making it louder? just curious

Might be having a problem with my passenger cat being clogged, just gonna remove them and have the 02 codes cleared. Gonna install headers within a month so why not.
