VIDEO: spun bearing or valvetrain? hi guys,
im new to the ls1 world and was wondering if you guys could help me out with the noise my motor is making. I bought it this way so i cant really complain but im just trying to get to the bottom of this so i can fix it and get it running right. Its more of a tapping than a knock but i could be wrong.
im trying REALLY hard not to drive or start it but i had to show you guys some video. its parked until i can really figure out the problem.
i bought it from original owner (women) who possibly let the motor eat the oil down to about 2-3 quarts.
its a 98 auto t/a with 130k. other than that its super clean.

forgot to add: ive also searched around and thats why i didnt totally rule out the possibility of a collapsed lifter or other valvetrain component. car was certainly not abused or ragged out racing-wise. maybe just neglect if anything (lol...women)
