LS6 Intake + Idle control valve?

I swapped my intake for a used one from a vette. Now its at the shop for tune.

He says i need to get an idle control valve (not cheap) and have it rewired for my car. With out this the car will not idle well?

Anyway around this? Can i take the valve off the old intake or something?

well if your car is the one in your sig then you have an IAC already, its on your throttle body, if this guy doesn't even know that, i would be scared letting him even touch my car

i put a LS6 manifold from a 02 Z06 on my 2000 SS and i never needed to replace the IAC maybe this will give you more HP lol take it some where else sounds like he's just tryin to screw you out of money and possibly **** your car up

Well he may be talking about the sensor on the back of the LS6 intake. But if he is talking about the IAC in the throttle body find another tuner fast!
