back firing
back firing I have a 2002 Z28 that I have had for the past 20,000 miles. It currently has 120,xxx on the clock and has always run like a dream, very strong, very smooth. Recently however, it has started to backfire on me. Mainly when I am shifting gears, either up or down in the gear box. I am wondering if I need a tune or what the problem might be.
I dont know if this could be the problem but the car has always been a Texas car, 93+ octane, and I recently moved out to California a year and a half ago and the highest octane it has had in it since is 91.
