Question about my new Breather....

Question about my new Breather.... Hey everyone. For the past year or so, Ive been running an open breather with all of the PCV system capped. Been working well as there is no more oil in my intake. However the downside was the odor that thing was throwing off. It was pretty potent, and didnt matter if my vents were on or not.
So this weekend, amongst all the other work I did, I threw on a differnt style breather. Its completely closed, with a 5/8" nipple on the side. The breather has what appears to be a block of foam in it. The inlet isnt fully open, its like a semi circle piece of metal sort of folded in.
My question is...should I be worried about this not vent properly? I dont really see how it wouldnt, but I wanted to check with you guys. My plan was to run a length of hose into the fender area or under the car. Im not sure if I need to vent the other cover now or not. Like I said, my gut says Im ok...but Ive been wrong before.

Smells like old lawn mower gas...
You need to upgrade a breather with a catch can or what I did was the old school evac system out of each valve cover down to the exhaust.

You have to install them after the muffler, not use their breather caps, but install the hose to the valve cover pipe.
