How much difference will it make?

I'm going to buy the texas speed 1 7/8 headers. I have a borla 3" cat back. How much difference really would the off road y compare to the catted y pipe in performance? Also how much sound difference is there? My state currently has no law against it they took away emissions a few years ago but there have been talks about bringing it back. So I don't know I just don't want a hassle with the ory being that it is not really street legal

you only loose a couple hp with the cats and they get rid of that nasty rasp sound. id buy some high flow cats, a flowmaster merge and have a custom y fabbed up.

about 5 hp per cat, very loud with no cat raspy, with cat quieter no rasp

J/k The only problem with aftermarket cats is you have to get them really hot to work. The reason why the aftermarket cats don't work as well as stocks ones is due to their placement.

I would try to find a smog hookup if your state reinstates the smog laws...

not all states smog the cars. here in houston they do a visual and then hook up to the computer. as long as the computer doesnt list any codes it passes.
