BBK Throttle Body Question?

I picked up a used 80mm BBK for my boosted motor thinking its heavier build would be an advantage over the stocker. It comes with the throttle body, a gasket and spacer/reducer. The throttle body is the same thickness as the stock one. Right now my plumbing from the supercharger does not allow room for the spacer/reducer. So, the question is, can I just run the BBK throttle body minus spacer? I am thinking the sold surface of the spacer seals the back ports of the TB and it won't work without it.

i used to have one and didnt run the spacer. worked fine

jsteele, did you just attach it using the stock O ring gaskets or insert the flat gasket provided in the kit?

no gasket either just the oem one in the intake

hey i was thinking of getting the bbk throttle body could you tell a difference at all and do you need to tune after?

You don't need a tune. Mine was used and the idle screw needed adjusting to lower the idle speed. BBK sets a idle at the factory so if you buy a new one, just install and go.
