Compression Ratios I dont understand to compression ratio or the cam ratings. I wanted to no if someone can explain it to me. I no the higher the compression ratio the better but how do you tell what you currently have and how do you get it higher? How do you no what cam to pick for your motor. When they say cubic in what are they talking about?

couldnt find it but ill give you an example of what im talking about im getting this from a jegs magazine. Example a super cobra jet aluminum heads it says it improves flow to 330 cfm int and 225 cfm exh. Redisigned 72 cc chambers for 40-50 hp gain..........or BB chevy aluminum cylinder heads can support over 540 hp with 9.5:1 compression when used with edelbrocks total power package. Semi open 110 cc chamber design maximizes efficancy with streetable compresssion ratios and 2.19"/1.88" valves .....................that was cylinder heads now cams hydralic camshaft kit adv. duration 250 gross lift .437" rpm range idle-5000. What does all that mean? What does cc and cfm stand for?
